....now it's just a "CLICK" away!

To Live one must Eat, and to be Well one must Live.

It has been predicted that the major health problems in the United States are largely caused by eating excessive amounts of foods lacking proper nutrition and not enough daily physical activity resulting as major risk factors for life--threatening chronic diseases and death, such as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, some forms of cancer and, unknown to most, nerve disorders and mental illness.  It is estimated that together these diseases account for two- thirds of all deaths in the United States.

Although nutrition and exercise are major keys to developing and maintaining a state of optimal nutritional health, wellness depends on much, much more!

Nutrition is considered as “any substance that provides living things with the appropriate nutrients needed for energy, cell growth, and sustains or stimulates the mind in order to achieve homeostasis”.

Wellness as considered “an approach to living in which one focuses on all aspects of life, including the emotional, intellectual, physical, social, occupational, environmental, and spiritual life areas that make up a whole and complete life”.

Therefore, having Nutritional Wellness means “having the appropriate nutrients for optimal physical and mental energy, growth, and stimulation to allow one to live a lifestyle that focuses on all aspects of life”.

The Nutritional Wellness Program posits that every living thing is an organism...living within an ecosystem, whether that organism is as small as a virus, bacterium, protest, fungus; whether a plant, insect or animal (to include human); or as large as a planet, a galaxy, a universe. Therefore, an organism is anything that reacts to stimuli, reproduces, grows, and maintains a homeostasis. But it is only humans that have shown the ability to act outside their basic survival instincts, influenced by their own opinions and beliefs, usually with good intentions, yet sometimes to their own and other’s demise. Therefore, neglecting one’s basic instincts and ignoring the need of connectivity of all organisms for homeostasis, all ecosystems will soon begin to fail and eventually die.

The Nutritional Wellness Program has been established to provide the education, tools and techniques to help us get back in touch with our basic instincts and back to an optimal and sustainable Nutritional Wellness Life!

The “Program” consists of:

Nutritional Wellness BioChemical Assessments:  Biochemistry is “the study of the chemical processes in living organisms. It deals with the structures and functions of cellular components such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and other biomolecules”. Over the last 40 years biochemistry has become so successful at explaining living processes that now almost all areas of the life sciences from botany to medicine are engaged in biochemical research. Today the main focus of pure biochemistry is in understanding how biological molecules give rise to the processes that occur within living cells which in turn relates greatly to the study and understanding of whole organisms.

Nutritional Wellness Lifestyle Assessments:  A lifestyle is a choice of daily, minute by minute decisions that affect one’s physical, mental, emotional, and social life.  When the subconscious mind gets “programmed” with negative thoughts it can affect the homeostasis of the physical body.  This assessment will help to discover your strengths as well as the areas of your life that you are most motivated to change.

Nutritional Wellness Action Plan: Based on a philosophy of taking small steps for continuous improvement, you will be creating 3-5 simple nutritional wellness action steps in the areas you are most motivated to change.

Nutritional Wellness Support:  You will be provided a suite of positive educational tools and techniques to help you successfully implement your Nutritional Wellness action steps. You will be encouraged to update your Nutritional Wellness Action Plan every three months to reflect your successes and your current areas of lifestyle focus by retaking the assessments to monitor your progress with graphic comparisons of your results. Between these re-assessments, you will be supported with email reminders and one-on-one phone coaching sessions.

Nutritional Wellness Resources:  You will have ongoing access to a multitude of educational workshops, cooking classes, lectures, and other valuable resources to support you on your journey to achieving life long Nutritional Wellness!
